ONE Championship and Animoca Brands develop NFT-powered mobile game

The largest martial arts organization in the world, ONE Championship, and Animoca Brands and its subsidiary Notre Game recently announced a significant partnership. The joint venture will create the mobile game ONE Fight Arena, which will be NFT-powered.

The game, available for free on Google Play and the App Store, will feature a strategic gameplay experience focusing on ONE’s roster of world-class martial artists.

ONE Fight Arena is a mobile game that will allow players to choose from a variety of ONE athletes, including MMA legend Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, to develop their fighter’s career through an immersive first-person point of view.

The game will begin player testing in Q4 2023 and will be released worldwide in Q1 2024. It will also provide players with the option of Web3 integration, which will use blockchain technology and NFTs to provide true digital ownership of certain game assets.

The co-founder and group president of ONE, Hua Fung Teh, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it will provide a unique gaming experience to engage with their global fanbase at a deeper level. Animoca Brands executive chairman and co-founder, Yat Siu, echoed this sentiment, noting that the partnership will enable fans to access a novel gaming experience with true digital ownership at its core.
