Warner Bros to released Game of Thrones NFTs in January

News, NFT news

In January 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO will debut Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm Series 1 Hero Box NFTs in collaboration with Nifty’s

In November, Warner Bros. made the announcement that they will be releasing “Game of Thrones” NFTs on Nifty’s. The 3D content business Daz 3D was tasked with the responsibility of designing, developing, and producing the “Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm” NFT experience.

The most recent announcement indicates that the presale for the Hero Box NFTs will take place on January 10, at 8 am PT, while the general sale will take place on January 10, at 12 pm PT.

The first-ever Hero Box will come packed with digital treasures and avatars hailing from the northern provinces of Westeros.

During the course of the presale, there will be a total of 3,450 Series 1 Hero Boxes up for grabs, with the limit set at one box for each of Nifty’s accounts. There will be an additional 1,500 Hero Boxes made available for purchase by the general public, with the maximum number of additional boxes allowed for any Nifty account being two.

After the first sale, fifty Hero Boxes will be set aside and kept in reserve for use in community events, prizes, customer support concerns, and promotional activities throughout the various phases of the project.

Each Series 1 Hero Box comprises:

  • One Hero (or Legendary Hero) avatar
  • Nine Resource Cards to build your realm
  • Three Story Cards, featuring iconic scenes, characters, and locations from Game of Thrones

The selection of avatars included inside the box is the primary selling point for the product. These avatars can only be accessed after a certain chapter has been released. They are equipped with a wide array of attributes, such as Longclaw and a loyal direwolf companion, amongst others. In addition, followers will be able to improve their avatars by collecting a collection of different resource cards.

On the Nifty website, you may pay for Hero Boxes using a credit card, a debit card, or cryptocurrency. The price of the sale will be made public in advance of the announcement date.

Hero Boxes and Hero Avatars will be minted on the Palm blockchain, while narrative and resource cards will be minted on the Ethereum blockchain.

Users have the ability to purchase unopened Hero Boxes on the secondary market that Nifty provides, in addition to purchasing individual digital treasures from boxes that have already been opened. Avatars and hero boxes that have not been opened will also be available for purchase on OpenSea and other Ethereum markets.

Jeff Marsilio, CEO, and Co-founder of Nifty’s stated “The Game of Thrones experience has been a long time coming. Our teams have diligently worked together to create an interactive collecting experience for Game of Thrones fans to continue their journey and live within the beloved series. We are thrilled to introduce more fanatics into the digital collectibles and Web3 Industry.”
