Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has released a “short video starting off a new chapter in the mythology of BAYC” on Twitter in order to provide a sneak peek at a forthcoming update called “The Trial Of Jimmy The Monkey.”
In September 2021, BAYC released their “roadmap 2.0,” which may be thought of as an updated version of its goals for the future of the BAYC community and its simian ecology, available to the general public.
Users may see the words “The Trial of Jimmy the Monkey” written underneath the image of a monkey that was chained up and seated in the upper right corner.
This coming Christmas season will mark the beginning of the long-awaited Trial of Jimmy the Monkey, which BAYC said would formally begin on November 24.
There is a list of events announced, reportedly hinting at an NFT launch where the first one has been revealed: “Prologue: The Trial of Jimmy, December 21.”
The upcoming events are:
- December 28: “The Past, Present, Future”
- January 11: “Prepare for the Mint”
- January 18: “Multi-week Interactive Mint”
- February 8: “Mint Reveal”
- TBA: “The Story Continues”
Information on the particular mint levels may be obtained from BAYC. Holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) or Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs who also have a Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) NFT are separated into two different categories.
When it comes to the mint, Apes (either BAYC or MAYC) who also possess a BAKC will be separated into their own tiers, as indicated by BAYC. Additionally, for those who want to take their coin-minting experience to the next level, there will be an optional $APE spend mechanism.
Those who have either the BAYC or the MAYC alone are eligible for various perks associated with that category. In all, there are four distinct levels or tiers to choose from. Tier One is reserved for the Mutant Ape, whereas Tier Two has both a Mutant Ape and a BAKC. Additionally, Tier 3 is a Bored Ape.
The fourth tier is comprised of a Bored Ape and a BAKC dog. Additionally, Tier 4 has the position of highest-ranking tier in the group. The bulk of the information that has been shared on the official Twitter account of the BAYC may be found here.
The BAYC indicated that everything would come to a head in late January with a free, playable, interactive mint experience for BAYC and MAYC holders, and users will be required to evaluate both their talents and their knowledge throughout the event.
