Altcoin news, News

Ripio, a leading provider of cryptocurrency services in Latin America, has received approval from the Bank of Spain to operate as a crypto exchange in the country.

The announcement was made by Sebastián Serrano, CEO of Ripio, through a recent tweet.

This development puts Ripio in the same league as other prominent exchanges already operating in Spain, such as Bit2Me, Bitpanda, Crypto.com, Bitstamp, and BVNK.

Ripio’s expansion into Spain marks a significant milestone for the company, which is already active in various markets including Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and the United States.

The company claims to facilitate monthly transactions worth $200 million, serving a user base of approximately 8 million.

The approval allows Ripio to strengthen its global presence and enter Spain’s growing cryptocurrency market, further establishing itself as a major player in the crypto industry.

The move is expected to provide Spanish cryptocurrency enthusiasts with more choices for buying, selling, and trading digital assets.
