Paima is the leading layer-2 gaming engine on the Cardano network, providing an on-chain gaming experience and trading in pure “ADA” tokens.
On-chain gaming is an exponentially growing segment of blockchain along with crypto. In 2022, the worldwide market for blockchain gaming had a worth of USD 5.41 billion, and it is anticipated to increase at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 68.9% between 2023 and 2032.
Through Paima, developers, and studios can deploy their own games for “free” on the Cardano network, but users will need an “any wallet”. Paima also offers Stateful NFTs, which can be users’ “accounts, characters or items” that evolve over the course of the game.
Paima has also thanked Milkomeda, a layer-2 network, to enable their deployment with great interoperability with other EVM platforms.Paima also claimed itself as hack-proof as games available on the platform will leverage default non-custodial, eliminating the direct involvement of users’ funds.
