Someone has buried a Bitcoin Whitepaper into the MacOS code in copies issued after 2017. The issue was first highlighted by MacOS user bernd178 on the MacOS Community Forum in April 2021.
Andy Baio, a blogger, wrote a blog on Waxy.app on April 5, disclosing a command to check preview of the Bitcoin PDF size of 184 KB. The Virtual Scanner II contains an inconspicuous picture of a bay located in San Francisco, along with a PDF version of the Bitcoin whitepaper.
Baio speculated that it was just a convenient, lightweight multipage PDF for testing purposes, never meant to be seen by end users.
