The new version comes with several enhancements aimed at improving overall performance. One notable improvement is the smarter distribution of computations throughout each epoch instead of concentrating them at specific points.

 

Rick McCracken, a respected member of the Cardano community, highlights the significance of Node 8.1.1. Despite being categorized as a “minor” release, this update includes a crucial fix from the ouroboros-network team.
