On March 11th, in Charleston, South Carolina, the well-known NFT artist Mike Winkelmann, better known as Beeple, made the official announcement of the grand opening of his actual studio called “BEEPLE STUDIOS.”
On this occasion of the grand opening, Beeple is working together with the auction house Christie’s. On March 11, it will have been two years after Beeple’s “Everydays: The First 5,000 Days” sold at Christie’s for $69 million, bringing significant attention to the NFT sector. This event took place on March 11.
Beeple expressed his excitement on the use of this venue by the whole community in a tweet.
At the inaugural event, there will be pieces shown by XCOPY, Refik Anadol, DeeKay Motion, Blake Kathryn, Pak, Smeccea, Ash Thorp, Coldie, GMUNK, and Chelsea Evenstar, amongst other artists.
In October of 2018, Beeple dropped hints about the existence of a real studio that would serve as an outlet for not just his artwork, but also the artwork of the whole NFT community. Beeple’s goal was to host exhibits and come up with creative new methods to display NFT artwork so that it could be seen in person by collectors from the real world.
In addition, Beeple is looking for contributions of artwork for the first-ever event hosted by Beeple Studios. If your piece of artwork is selected, you will be given a complimentary ticket to the event.
Tokenproof will serve as the official verification platform for the next event, which Beeple is collaborating on with Tokenproof. At the time of admittance, guests of the event are required to provide a Beeple NFT. In addition, the attendees have until February 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to redeem their tickets.
