Sherwin-Williams, a paint manufacturer located in the US, submits trademark applications for products connected to the Metaverse and NFT. On March 9, 2023, the trademark was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

 

Sherwin-Williams intends to provide downloadable virtual commodities, digital assets, etc., pertaining to paints and paint color chips that are verified by NFTs or a blockchain, according to the application. The business plans to use NFTs to provide membership club services.
