The digital giant Amazon is said to be introducing its NFT marketplace known as “Amazon Digital Marketplace” on April 24, 2023, with the intention of expanding its operations inside the web3 ecosystem.
Insiders claim that the failure of FTX was one among the factors that contributed to the marketplace’s delay in becoming online, although it seems that the launch was originally scheduled for a later date.
Users in the United States will be the first to get the service from the platform before it is finally made available to consumers in other countries. On the new platform, the only acceptable methods for purchasing NFTs are a credit card or an Amazon account.
On the day of the portal’s official debut, Amazon will allegedly start selling somewhere around 15 different NFT collections on the platform. By clicking the “Amazon Digital Marketplace” button on Amazon’s website, customers are given the opportunity to peruse the NFT collections.
In January, it was rumored that online retail giant Amazon is getting ready to launch a new initiative called NFT, which stands for digital assets enterprise. Two people familiar with the matter claim that it will be built on Amazon rather than the company’s platform for web hosting, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
