MetaMask, the Ethereum self-custody wallet, has mysteriously vanished from the app store, as per reports from watcher.guru.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife on X (formerly known as Twitter), with some users suggesting that Apple might be gearing up to introduce its own cryptocurrency wallet.
This development comes on the heels of MetaMask’s recent announcement on October 11, where it shared its support for the prominent payment processor Stripe.
The announcement indicated that Metamask was paving the way for users to easily deposit fiat and receive cryptocurrency via a new on-ramp in collaboration with Stripe.
Could this partnership have led to its removal on the app store?
Metamask has yet to respond to Coinlive’s request to comment as of time of publication.
