Following the massive success of Metaverse Fashion Week 2022 (MFW22), the metaverse platform Decentraland is all set to host the Metaverse Fashion Week 2.0 with sports apparel giant Adidas as a new entry.
The week of March 28th through the 31st will play host to the second annual Metaverse Fashion Week. The Luxury District in Decentraland will serve as the primary center for MVFW even though it will encompass a number of other metaverses.
The Adidas Virtual Gear digital fashion line will be making its premiere at the MVF23 trade show. Those who own Virtual Gear NFTs will get a one-of-a-kind 3D duplicate of their Virtual Gear item to wear while exploring the virtual realm of Decentraland.
According to the announcement made by Decentraland, “The Adidas community will join MVFW to create a unique, community-focused experience that brings together ITM holders and users of Decentraland.”
Connected Wearable feature, which Adidas only just developed, makes it possible for the first time in Decentraland for Adidas’ Virtual Gear NFT to become a virtual reality.
Erika Wykes-Sneyd, Vice President of the Adidas Studio, remarked that “We’ve worked with Decentraland so the wearables will migrate into their ecosystem so holders will be able to wear their products.” This was expressed by Ms. Wykes-Sneyd.
According to Giovanna Casimiro, the metaverse producer for Decentraland, “One of the key principles from the first edition was aiming to unify designers and broaden the aesthetics and the possibilities for businesses.” This statement was made in reference to the mission of the first edition. With the completion of the first edition, we made the decision to go across metaverses.
Casimiro continued by saying, “When we speak about expanding the interoperability, it’s beginning to interact with other universes and metaverses to develop an agenda [that is] cross-platform.”
